Climbing represents meditation through movement. It forces you to be present in your mind and body, to find balance, strength, courage and trust in yourself and others. Come and connect with your adventurous spirit, energize and challenge yourself in a supportive, nurturing group environment. And if you have a fear of heights, welcome this experience as a perfect opportunity for you to face and conquer your fear and to find self-confidence and thrill.
In the past 4 years, over 60 women, ranging in age from 14-70, have joined us! Most of them had little to no climbing experience. Many of them were afraid of heights and almost all of them complained that they were out of shape. By the end of the season, they were competent climbers who conquered fears, attained goals, and laughed a lot!
This is an incredible opportunity whether you are looking to challenge yourself, condition your body, or just have fun! We are a group of supportive and fun women. Feel success here and watch it transcend to the rest of your life. Our programs meet the needs of women from the beginner level through the advanced level. Best of all, Indoor Ascent is only open to women on Monday nights!
What we do:
We will cover the basics of rock climbing, including safety, knots, belaying and climbing technique as well as practice yoga, pilates and of course, have fun! You will discover flexibility, grace, balance, breath control, core-strength, midfulness, acceptance, commitment, playfulness, joy, and friendship!
$16 drop-in rate: cost includes day pass rental of harness, belay device and climbing shoes
$35 beginner lesson: climbing technique, belaying instruction and rental gear
Participants will be asked to sign a waiver before beginning the workshop.
No previous climbing experience necessary.
